This 1986 Mustang SVO is something I’d want in my garage, but I probable wouldn’t drive it much, if ever. They (whomever ‘they’ are) say that there is no replacement for displacement. Which is all well and good if you only want to go in straight line. In the mid-80’s Ford’s speed magicians tried something different. They took a lighter-weight 4-cylinder from and added a big o’ turbo. Sure the car was lighter, and more ‘European’, but it still had a solid rear axel and still handled like a ‘Stang.
There were a couple of versions of the SVO, I think most people prefer these later, smooth nose examples. This is the first one I’ve seen with a leather interior, I don’t know the numbers, but it seems most had cloth packages.
