Someday SUVs will become collectible. When that happens I expect that the first generation X6 M will be the one to get. It’s special because when it came out it made zero sense in a category whose definition includes the word “utility”.

Things to do in Denver
I like to tell myself that once the COVID crisis is over (or at least normalized) I’m going to fly someplace, buy a car there and then road trip back to New England. Today I’m day-dreaming of Denver.
Ohio Joins 19 Other states that don’t require front plates
As of July 1, the state of Ohio no longer requires vehicles to have a license plate mounted on the front. You still have to put one on the back of the car, of course. That’s great news for those with vehicles that look horrible with a front plate – which is every vehicle made…
2005 Audi TT 3.2 VR6 Quattro DCT
I wasn’t looking to find such a lust-worthy car for so little money, but here it is. A 2005 Audi TT with the very very desirable combination of the original body style and superior VR6 engine. This car is already a classic. One of Feeeman Thomas’ many iconic designs, the original TT was unlike any sports car that had come before. It had the potential to become as iconic and desirable as the Porsche 911.
2011 Mercedes E-Class Wagon
I think I may need to risk a COVID plane ride and roadtrip this Merc back to New England. Since my kids and I started skiing last winter I’ve been looking for a good deal on an E-Class to replace, or augment, my 2009 Toyota Highlander. The Highlander is a great car in only two…
BMW 1M – 2011 – 6Speed Manual
BMW 1M – 2011 – 6 Speed Manual – 56K Miles – Seattle This is the first of what will likely be many BMWs on this list, in particular 1-series (E82) BMW’s. Even though I don’t consider myself a BMW fanboy, I probably meet the criteria of the definition. I think the 1-series is going…
1986 Mustang SVO
This 1986 Mustang SVO is something I’d want in my garage, but I probable wouldn’t drive it much, if ever. They (whomever ‘they’ are) say that there is no replacement for displacement. Which is all well and good if you only want to go in straight line. In the mid-80’s Ford’s speed magicians tried something…
Porsche Boxter S 6-Speed
This Porsche Boxter S near Beaverton looks like a prime example of a cheap ride. There are a ton of Boxters on Craigslist, but it’s rare to find one that clicks all the boxes. It’s a “S”, clean title, below $15K, and less than 90K miles. The ad talks about some upgrades, which are often…
2001 z06 Corvette 6-Speed
2001 Z06 Corvette Six-Speed Manual – $12900 As my first post I’m choosing one of my favorite unappreciated gems; The Corvette. The fun to cost ratio on these is amazing and I don’t know why the answer to everything is ‘Vette’ instead of ‘Miata.’ I am particularly fond of this ‘sedan’ style body, as compared…
